Facilitations in confirmation of knowledge of the Polish language
Planned amendments to the Act on the Polish Language and the Act on the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange with regard to obtaining a certificate of proficiency in Polish include:
1. increasing the number of places where the Polish language examination will be able to take place and the group of entities authorised to conduct it;
2. obtaining a certificate without the Polish language examination by people who have obtained their PhD degree on the basis of a dissertation written and defended in Polish at a Polish university;
3. obtaining a certificate without the Polish language examination by foreigners who have completed studies conducted in Polish at a foreign university.
The above facilitation will speed up the completion of documents for the procedure of obtaining a long-term EU resident and the procedure for recognition as a Polish citizen.
