Suspension of ZUS benefits for Ukrainian citizens after leaving Poland

Ukrainian citizens who lose their “UKR” status will not receive the “500+” childcare benefit from ZUS. ZUS benefits are revoked if a Ukrainian citizen has left Poland for more than 30 days. They then lose their “UKR” refugee status. If they do not comply with the relevant formalities after re-entering Poland, they will not receive parental benefits. ZUS spokesman Paweł Żebrowski points out that: “If the legality of this stay is lost, ZUS is obliged to revoke the right to parental benefit based on the data from this register. This ensures that aid from the Polish state goes only to eligible persons”.
