On 26 January 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to suspend the Poland.Business Harbour (PBH) visa programme. Since its establishment in 2020, the programme was targeted at IT professionals and provided for a much simpler path to obtain a visa than under the general rules. Then, in 2022, Poland.Business Harbour was significantly expanded to include representatives of other professions. In practice, this extension resulted in the programme being repeatedly used for purposes not in line with its intentions.
Foreigners seeking employment in the IT sector in Poland can still apply for visas under the general rules.
