Declarations of entrusting work not for Georgian citizens

According to planned government changes, Georgian citizens will be removed from the current group of citizens who can undertake employment in Poland on the basis of a Declaration of entrusting work. The removal is dictated by ongoing EU-level talks on restricting visa-free travel with Georgia. At the same time, Georgian citizens can still apply for legalisation of work in Poland on the basis of a work permit. The Declaration of entrusting work to foreigners is a simplified document that is issued more quickly than a work permit and entitles the holder to work in Poland.

The declaration of entrusting work remains available to citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. Previously, Russian citizens were deprived of the right to undertake employment in Poland on the basis of this legal instrument.

The draft regulation is currently at the consultation stage.
