Visa requirement for citizens of Georgia, Colombia, and Venezuela

Polish government is working on a regulation according to which citizens of Georgia, Colombia, and Venezuela will have to obtain work visas before coming to Poland. The situation of Georgia has changed in a particular way. Not so long ago, citizens of that country could enter Poland visa-free and take up employment on the basis of a declaration of entrusting work, which is a much simpler and faster procedure than obtaining a work permit. Once the regulation comes into force, citizens of all the above-mentioned countries will first have to obtain a work permit and then a work visa in order for their stay and work in Poland to be legal.

The planned regulation is intended to counteract the expected wave of economic migrants from these countries.
