While revolutionary changes to immigration law come into force on 1 June 2025, not all government systems are ready for them. On this matter, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has published an important communication. It includes dates for the implementation of the new solutions in the praca.gov.pl system.

Dates and scope of changes in the praca.gov.pl system:
- from 1 July 2025– passing a copy of the agreement concluded with a foreigner to the starost who entered the declaration of comissioning work to a foreigner in the register of declarations
- from 1 August 2025 – passing a copy of the agreement concluded with a foreigner to the voivod who has issued the work permit for a foreigner
Passing a copy of the agreement must take place before entrusting work to a foreigner!
The new regulations also provide requirements with regard to the language of the employment contract. The employment contract must be concluded in Polish, be bilingual (one of the languages of the contract must be Polish), or have a sworn translation into Polish if it is concluded in a language other than Polish.
Paradoxically, the delay should be seen as a positive for employers. With the enormity of the changes coming into force on 1 June 2025, the practical delay of some of the requirements will allow employers to adapt more smoothly to the new legal realities.
